A fuse is a protective device, not a wear item

The manual states that fuses protect circuits from short circuits or overload, and prohibits using a fuse with a higher rated current, or any other object, in its place. A blown fuse means why the fuse blew needs to be found; it does not prove the fuse was poor quality, and it does not justify raising the rating until it stops blowing. The same vehicle has different fuse boxes, and the labels inside each box show which fuse relates to which electrical component. Before buying, have a professional check the actual position, type and rating on the vehicle; do not order directly from a fuse-box diagram for another model year found online.
