The inspection chain in the official table
The manual separately lists checks of the EPS earth, the connectors, the controller's exterior and the connection between controller and motor, looking for foreign matter, burning, looseness and corrosion. These items remind technicians that the steering system is not just one replaceable computer; the connections and their environment are also inspection points, and a warning light alone is no reason to replace the controller. The item list gives no repair parameters
Knowing what to inspect and knowing how to inspect it safely are two different things. Permitted free play, measurement conditions, the power-down sequence, wiring definitions and tightening requirements still need this car's service information.
