Total mileage and HEV mileage each have a role

This car's maintenance schedule separates basic vehicle items from engine items, and specifies HEV mileage for the latter. Applying total mileage to every item, or estimating engine maintenance from the share of electric driving alone, can both misread the plan. First confirm what each line is measured against, then look at that line's time and distance conditions. ^[1]

Don't miss whichever comes first

Time and mileage in the table apply on a whichever-comes-first basis; maintenance is not due only when both are met. We suggest listing each item's time basis and mileage type separately on your checklist and keeping its due status up to date.
