2026 POER Commercial Lighting: LED Daytime Running Lights Do Not Change the Halogen Projector Headlamps

Seeing an LED strip at the front by day and describing the complete headlamp as LED when it needs repair at night can lead to the wrong part. The factory sheet for the Mexican 2026 POER Commercial Premium clearly separates the lighting types. Identify the headlamp and daytime running light individually to narrow the requirement.

Read headlamps and daytime running lights separately

The technical sheet lists “Faros de halógeno con proyección,” meaning halogen projector headlamps. Daytime running lights are separately listed as LED DRL. [T08] Projector construction does not mean an LED headlamp, and LED daytime running lights do not establish the same light source for every other lighting function.

For a repair report, identify the lighting function affected and photograph the vehicle front and lamp markings. If the lights were modified, distinguish the installed lamps from factory equipment so an added device is not treated as proof of the original specification.

“Halogen” does not identify a bulb type

The sheet does not give bulb specifications, the scope for replacing light sources separately or a complete lamp-mounting parts list. A repairer should inspect a non-illuminating lamp before determining the item requiring attention. Light-source type cannot establish that a generic bulb fits, and LED passenger-version headlamps from another market must not be treated as a plug-in upgrade. [To be verified]
