Emgrand GL door lock recall: repeated handle pulls are not resolved by a lubrication record

If a Emgrand GL door needs repeated pulls to open, do not treat “try some lubricant” as a completed repair. A historical Chinese recall concerns internal lock dimensions and sticking during return movement. Checking the action and replacement history first helps distinguish a need for improved lock assemblies from ordinary stiffness.

The defect concerns return movement inside the lock

The regulator's detailed table states that an oversized locking rod increases friction with the coupling rod, causing the coupling rod to stick during return and making the door difficult to open.[Defect explanation][S14] A handle that still moves therefore does not independently exclude an internal lock issue.
